This website is constantly in a work in progress, so be sure to check back often!!
Hey Guys! I'm a rising junior at Carnegie Mellon University studying computer science with an additional major in computational and applied mathematics and a minor in computational finance. I'm currently involved in the Quant Club, All-University Orchestra, Tricking Club, and KPDC.
Last semester, I was a teaching assistant for 21-260: Differential Equations. I also worked on an ML project regarding sentiment analysis on stock news, and I also took several different courses relating to computational finance.
I'm currently trying to improve my skills in React, learning more advanced CSS to make this website look better (yes, there are a lot of things to add), as well as write random articles that would hopefully benefit underclassmen.
I'm currently looking for internship positions relating to quant, machine learning, or software development for the summer 2024 season.
Here are some of my recent projects:
For the final project of the CMU 10-315: Intro to ML course, our team decided to create an ML model to perform sentiment analysis on stock prices, and then apply the model to predict changes in stock prices. However, the twist is that we used almost every technique taught in the course to build the model!
Using basic React.js techniques as well as some CSS, I created a random website for CMU students to be able to use to determine what places in Pittsburgh they could visit during the weekend if they are bored. It also implements some basic functionality, including have a favorites list or shuffling the order of the places.
Obviously, this website itself counts as a project. I have also created another personal website herewhich is pretty outdated, but I couldn't just let it go to waste!
Here are some of my latest articles:
Basically a desciption on what the comp fi courses are like at CMU, as well as surveying students for advice to give to future peers.
A student perspective on the transfer process to the School of Computer Science as well as advice for students who also want to transfer.
As an international student, it took me a while to understand how to get an SSN, so this article just kind of makes things clearer.
These are just for my reference, but these are notes I took during my freediving course, which may help people who are curious on what the sport is about.
